I am back..

Its time to finally get this up. A good motivation is Fiona's Blog Candy that she is offereing!

I guess I better let you all know why I have been MIA for awhile. My DH ended up taking me to A&E last weekend in pain but on a heavy dose of anti now so doing loads better. So after a stint in the hosp I am back up and running.

Few got the cards all stamped and made to realize we were 5 short! urrrr! So had to make 5 more. Then on wed my DCh inform me they want to take choc back to their teachers! Okay me being me cant just send a bar of choc off with out it being decorated! Hey every little advertisement for Stampin Up! helps! So off to the shop to get 6 bars of choc to decorated and get ready for them by 7 in the morning! After a bit of fiddling I managed to get them done (with a few hours of sleep :) ) And the teachers loved them! They were all asking me were I had gotten them from so hopefully something good will come out of all this stamping snowman etc! :)

so here are the cards and choc! I tried to make them simple for the kids to esemble together. :) Sorry they are somewhat blurry my camera is acting up again. uggg!

You will need:

Happy Winter stamps from SU
Angel Policy stamps SU
Brilliant Blue card Paper
Lovely Lilac card Paper
Green Galore card Paper
White card paper
Love notes whisper cards
Silver mirror paper.
Blue/Purple/Green stampin pads
Silver Paint pen
3 glue dots per card

Front view of blue card. I make them in green and purple as well. First stamp the inside of the cards with a greeting of Happy New year. (the photos I got were very blury am going to try and get another one done then will post that.) Then the Angel policy stamp on the back.
Then cut the Silver mirror card stock too be 2 1/4 "x 2". The blue (or what ever color you are using) cards stock to be cut in 2" x 1 3/4 " The white card stock in 1 3/4" x 1". But you need double the amount of white as you have cards you are using two pieces for every card. Then stamp the snowman in the top portion of half of your little white cards. Then take the snow stamp and stamp around the edges of the rest of the little white cards leaving the middle open. Then write 2008 (or what ever you want to write :) ) Then take the two white cards and Affix them together with the snow stamped card laying sideways on top of the bottom of the snowman stamped card in an upside down T shape. Affix the blue (or what ever color you are using) to the silver mirrored card stock. Affix these to the top half of the card. Now take glue dots put one on the top of the upside down T and one on either side. Affix these part way down the center middle of the card so part is on the blue and part is on the white.

Now for the choc!

You will need:

White card stock
Brilliant Blue card stock
Happy Winter SU stamp set
Angel Policy stamp set
White Ribbon
Hole puch

First take the white card stock and depends on how big a bar it is. wrap the choc in the white paper so it covers all four sides so just the two short sides are sticking out fasten this. Then cut a blue piece just a little smaller then the white top piece. I did it to where the top showed the white but the sides had blue all the way to the edges fasten this. Now cut a white peice of card stock so that there is just a 1/4 " of blue showing on all four sides. Take your stamp set and stamp and you are going to do shadowing. First stamp snow all over the bottom of the white card stock. then stamp one tree on the edge and emmediatly with out reinking stamping another tree partly on top. Then another tree this time reinking partly on top again and then stamping again a tree with out inking. Then another tree. Then on the far end of the card stock stamp another tree. Now you can stamp the snowman. Affix this to the middle of the blue on your bar. Now take and cut a small blue oblong for your tags. Then cut a smaller white oblong affix this to the blue one placing it on the right hand side of the tag so that there is more blue showing on the left then the right. Puch a hole in the blue part of the tag on the left hand side. Stamp your "Happy Winter" wording on the cards AFTER you have affixed them onto the blue. Now tie ribbon around the choc bar inbetween the tree and snowman. Slip the tag on before you tie the ribbon then slide it up under the knot.

And there you have your fancy choc bars! I have had so many people asking me were I got them. I already have someone asking me to make them some new year cards for this year! Yipee keep em comin!
